Stevan H. Thompson, J.D. is a partner in the Idaho Falls law office of Thompson, Smith, Woolf, Anderson, PLLC. His experience includes significant litigation in both Federal and State court. During his career, Mr. Thompson has litigated capital murder jury trials as a prosecuting attorney and defense counsel.
His experience includes serious felonies, misdemeanors, juvenile court, and child protection proceedings. He has handled personal injury cases, general business litigation, divorce, as well as criminal defense work. He has significant appellant experience before the State Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Thompson holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Idaho and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science also from the University of Idaho. He is presently admitted to practice law in the State Courts of Idaho and the Federal Court for the District of Idaho. He participates in numerous legal activities and holds professional memberships including the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Idaho Law Foundation, Citizens Law Academy, and is a founding member and former president of the Eagle Rock Inn of Court. He has been a speaker in continuing legal education programs for the Idaho State Bar and the Idaho Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
